Logitech previously announced that Logitech Control Center (LCC) would not be compatible with macOS 11 (Big Sur). We are now excited to share that LCC will be fully compatible with macOS 11 (Big Sur), but only for a limited period and support for LCC on macOS 11 will end early 2021.
What is Logitech Options for Mac Logitech Options lets you customize gesture controls for Logitech touch products. It also adds enhanced key functions for Logitech keyboards, and notification for device-specific status features such as battery level, key backlighting level, and Caps Lock. After the limited compatibility period ends, the below LCC devices will not be supported in Logitech Options and you can check for your devices here. If you have one of these listed products you should still be able to use basic functions such as left-click, right-click, middle button, and scroll wheel, but customization in LCC or Logitech Options is not possible. All other LCC devices will work with Logitech Options, which can be downloaded here.
With the new Apple release of their Apple Silicon-based computers, LCC will not be compatible with these new systems. Your LCC-supported device should have basic functionality but customization in LCC won’t be possible. All of our Logitech Options-supported devices will be fully compatible.
If you experience any issues during the limited compatibility period please ensure you have LCC version 3.9.11 or later installed, which can be downloaded at this link.

M1 Mac + Logitech Mouse + Logi Options This will be a quick post because I'm sure Logitech will fix this eventually (or maybe I'm the only person with this problem). I have a Logitech M705 mouse I use extensively with my M1 Mac Mini. Install Logitech Options Software to enable back/forward buttons. You can download the software here. In addition to enabling the buttons for use with Macs, Logitech Options software lets you map other useful functions to the buttons, including undo/redo, OS navigation, zoom, volume up/down, and more. The Logitech unifying software on Mac allows you to manage a variety of devices that utilize a Unifying receiver. You have the freedom to add or remove devices by utilizing the software’s wizard or opt for the advanced mode. In the advanced mode, you will find the status of your paired devices, firmware version, and the battery level.
