From July 30th, UK multiplay operator Virgin Media will be adding the BT Sport 4K UHD channel to its top TV bundles at no extra cost.

The move follows Virgin Media reaching a new multi-year agreement to continue bringing all of the sporting action from BT Sport to Virgin TV. This includes all 351 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League games alongside 42 live Premier League matches, the FA Cup, European Rugby Champions Cup, Boxing, MotoGP and much more. For the first time on Virgin TV, many of these major sporting events will also be shown in 4K Ultra High Definition.

BT Sport 4K UHD will be included in Virgin TV Full House and VIP bundles, while Virgin TV customers already taking BT Sport will get the channel automatically added at no extra cost. To enjoy this selection of sport, a Virgin TV V6 box and compatible 4K UHD television will be required.

The V6 box can handle both 4K and HDR10 content, which gives it a leg up on some of the competition. Virgin has its own add-free 4K channel, which has a few select shows such as the Rook and nature. One of the best things about Sky or Virgin Media TV is the sheer number of channels you get. Virgin Media's Mixit bundle has 110+ channels, while Maxit has 230+. But there's plenty of scope to boost that by signing up for Personal Picks, which allow you to subscribe to the likes of Sky Sports, BT Sport and international channels on a 30-day rolling-contract basis.

New and existing Virgin TV customers taking Player or Mix bundles will be able to add all BT Sport channels, including 4K UHD, to their package for £18 per month.
